Ideally, you should turn up with just the "decision makers" present. Whoever is going to be living in the property and will actively be making a decision regarding whether you will take the property or not. Having the decision makers present at the first viewing means that you won't waste the seller or tenant's time, never mind your own, having second viewings so that the other decision makers can see if the property passes muster.
What if one or more of the decision makers is out of the country, can I take pictures?
It would be the height of bad manners to walk round someone's home snapping pictures on your mobile phone without asking first, so be sure to ask for permission.
Is it OK to being children to a viewing?
Not ideal on a first viewing as children can be distracting. If the vendor has children, then it might be acceptable to bring them on a second viewing, but if the vendor is childless, they may find it a bit of an imposition, so again it might be best to ask first.
